Addiction isn’t discerning—it can happen to anyone, at any point in their life—it doesn’t discriminate against socioeconomic class, race or financial standing. Despite this, one fact is the same: an addiction needs treatment, and not just any treatment, good treatment. At The Treehouse, we’ve committed ourselves to this endeavor, offering only expert and evidence-based care, so that you or your loved one can get back on your feet and headed towards a better life.
We understand that every person comes to us with a unique and specific set of needs, and in order to deliver the most effective and thorough treatment, we must take these things into account, adapting our treatment protocol to offer individualized treatment. It is by doing this—by recognizing where you are at in your life—that we garner our high level of success. The Treehouse offers many standout treatments and modalities, all of which are integrated into our Men’s Drug and Alcohol Rehab Program.
We Understand The Toll An Addiction Takes
Drug and alcohol addiction takes a heavy hand on a person’s life. Whatever your ambitions or responsibilities—family, school, vocational or professional—you may have seen them cave under the weight of your addiction. Your sense of self-respect, self-esteem, and honor may be fleeting, as you begin to define your worth by the failures that your addiction has imposed on you. Instead of feeling happy and balanced, you may increasingly feel miserable or inadequate, as if falling short of expectations. Many people further turn to their drug of abuse as a means to squash these feelings, a very dangerous and counterproductive behavior.
At The Treehouse, we want you to be able to look yourself in the mirror and see the man you want to be. We want you to experience a sense of ownership over your life and experience a way of life that makes you derive a sense of self-worth, satisfaction, success and most importantly, wellness.

Detox Under Our Expert Care
The first step within rehab is detoxing. Drugs and alcohol pollute your body, damaging critical systems within the brain and other organs. Eventually, after prolonged substance abuse, such as is present within an addiction, the body becomes accustomed to this influx of toxic substances and begins, essentially, to rely on them. Due to this, when a person stops using, they will encounter what are called withdrawal symptoms. Depending on the drug of abuse, these symptoms can be exceedingly uncomfortable, and at times even dangerous. In some cases, such as with alcohol withdrawal, a person’s life may be in jeopardy.
It is for this reason that we never recommend that a person attempt to detox on their own. A successful detox is essential to finding sobriety and building a solid recovery. Detox is a time when many people get overwhelmed by cravings and other intolerable symptoms and turn back to drugs or alcohol to avoid further experiencing these things. Being involved in a medically supervised detox helps you to avoid this risk, as our attentive staff will monitor you 24/7 to ensure that you are comfortable and supported during this time. In certain cases, our physician-led clinicians may deem medication-assisted therapies the best avenue of treatment to help alleviate or ease your withdrawal symptoms.
Conquer Your Addiction By Balancing Your Mind
Drugs and alcohol can actually change the very way that your brain operates by altering the functioning and production of vital chemical components within your brain called neurotransmitters. Restoring your body to wellness by a medically managed detox, and removing the toxic load of the drug, allows your body and brain to begin to heal so that it can begin to function more fully and efficiently.
Beyond this, you need support in other ways. As we’ve noted, an addiction may be rooted in negative emotions or mindsets; it may also stem from damaging behaviors or thought patterns. For these reasons, we need to get to the source. At The Treehouse, we offer numerous impactful research-proven therapeutic methods that can help us to better understand you, they include:
- Motivational interviewing
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy
- Dialectical behavioral therapy
- Mindfulness and stress management practices
These methods aid you in replacing the negative and detrimental elements of your addiction with positive thoughts and behaviors, all the while developing critical coping skills.
Treatment For Co-Occurring Disorders
Many times, a person will come to use with another disorder beyond addiction. When a disorder occurs concurrently with addiction, we call it a co-occurring disorder. These dual diagnosis conditions must then be adjunctly treated, in order to restore optimal balance and wellness. Additionally, in order for a person to truly succeed within their recovery and be the most protected against relapse, they must combat these concerns before they leave treatment. If left untreated, one condition may exacerbate the other.
Examples of co-occurring disorders include (but are not limited to) depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders or dual addictions. Many times, as a person experiences the toll of one disorder, they may seek to temper its effects by self-medicating, which may then lead to or further a current addiction. Hence the importance of treating both.
The mind and body are interconnected. In order for one to truly be healthy and balanced, the other must be as well.
Get Active And At The Top Of Your Game
For so long, you may have put your body second. On top of this, an addiction changes your measure of self-worth, contorting the way you see yourself, and influencing your sense of pride, ambition, and fulfillment. At The Treehouse, we offer a lineup of activities that can engage you physically, so that you can begin to feel better about yourself. Staying active encourages your body to release endorphins, which are your body’s natural feel-good chemicals, a great and healthy alternative to drugs or alcohol. Here are some of the engaging ways in which we encourage physical wellness:
- Healthy chef-prepared meals
- Wilderness Therapy Program
- Adventure Therapy Program that includes 7 zip lines to get your pulse going and keep your sense of excitement high
- Ropes course
- Numerous recreational activities, including onsite fishing and sports, like volleyball and basketball
- Tai Chi
- Exercise equipment to help you stay or get in better shape
Push yourself, feel alive, feel confident—embrace the power of your recovery.
